Lechmere Volunteer Lodge held their annual Ladies Evening Festival on Saturday 21st April and a Charity Appeal took place on behalf of the Worshipful Master’s wife Helen for Cure Leukaemia and Cure Leukaemia for Kids Birmingham.

The appeal raised a grand total of £900.00 and Helen would like to thank all who attended on the night her heartfelt thanks for their donation in raising a fantastic amount for this deserving charity.

On Friday 25th May at Moseley Masonic Hall the cheque for £900.00 was presented personally by Helen & Nick to the Charity and it was accepted on their behalf by their Patron Geoff Thomas (ex Wolverhampton Wanderers) who has suffered from Leukaemia but thankfully is now in recession and he was accompanied by his daughter Georgia Thomas also from the charity. Also, attending on the day was Dave Thomas Lodge Charity Steward (as attached photos).

Geoff & Georgia on behalf of Cure Leukaemia thanked Helen and Lechmere Volunteer Lodge and all their guests for the generous donation which was gratefully received.
